For many pools on RYP the pool commissioner can choose to have picks made straight up or against the spread. Many public pools ran by RYP will have the settings to pick against the spread.

You can view your specific pool rules by logging in, going to the pool and then scrolling down to "Pool Rules" on the home page.

If your team wins, but does not win by enough points it will count as a loss. For example, the Rams won against the Lions in the below game. They were favored at -15.5 points. Since they won by only 9 points this is still considered a loss on your pick sheet.
