Q: Do the site-entered point spreads change or update during the week?
A: No. Once our spreads are entered (usually Tuesday mornings), they do not change.
Q: What happens if a game is canceled or postponed to a future week?
A: We have added a new setting under Pool Settings → Pick and Scoring Settings → Cancelled Games where you can choose how you want to handle picks for canceled games. More details are available via the help icon next to this setting.
Q: The point spread looks wrong for a specific NFL game. Why?
A: While it’s possible a spread was entered incorrectly, it’s more likely the line changed after it was entered. Once spreads are entered into the system, they are not updated to maintain fairness for members who already made their picks.
Q: Can I see my pool standings and results from previous years?
A: Yes! Go to Reports → Pool History.
Q: What is the NFL Margin format?
A: Margin pools are a simple NFL format that rewards members for picking a winning team each week. Commissioners can choose to award points based on either:
Margin of Victory (the number of points their team won by)
Point Spread (the number of points covered by the underdog, only underdogs can be picked in this option)
This “Point Spread” variation is also known as an NFL Underdog Pool.
Q: How does this pool work?
A:
Each pool member picks one NFL team per week.
If their pick wins, they receive points according to the scoring method selected.
Margin of Victory: Points equal to how many points their team won by
Point Spread: Points equal to the spread (only underdogs are eligible)
Members also rank how confident they are in their pick.
Weekly and season-long standings track these points.
Q: Can I customize this pool?
A: Yes! Commissioners can customize:
Scoring system (margin of victory vs. point spread)
Whether to deduct points for losses or give zero
Number of entries allowed per member
Which week the pool starts
Whether to assign picks automatically for missed picks
Whether members can pick the same team more than once
Q: When can members view the picks of other members?
A: Picks are visible to all members only after the weekly pick deadline has passed — usually the start of the first game each week. This way, everyone can see who picked which teams while watching the games, without influencing picks in advance.
