Q: Whats the objective of this format?
A: Pool members attempt to pick the winner of every playoff game each week along with combined total score. Points are awarded for correct picks AND for how close to the correct combined point total they were.
Q: What is a playoff precision pool?
A: Here are the rules for our NFL Playoff Precision pools:
Pool members attempt to pick the winner of every playoff game each week.
Pool members also enter their guess as to the combined total score of both teams in each game.
Commissioners can choose if picks are made "straight up" or against the point spread.
Points are awarded for correct picks AND for how close to the correct combined point total they were.
The member with the most total points at then end of the playoffs is the winner.
Q: Whats the scoring for this format?
A: Members earn points by picking the correct team and for their ability to predict the actual, combined final score. The following charts and example are based on the default scoring system, which awards 10 points per win and 10 point for picking the exact combined score. These values are configurable, however, and can be changed by the Administrator.
Members will receive points for their combined score precision regardless of whether or not they picked the correct team. Therefore, the team selection and combined score selection are not dependent on each other.
For each game of the entire playoffs, points will be assigned as follows:
Correct team picked = 10 points

Pick is 1 point off | 9 points |

Pick is 8 points off | 2 points |
Pick is 9 points off | 1 point |
Q: Am I able to customize the pick deadline, if I do not like the set options?
A: No, you cannot customize your pick deadline, we only have these 2 options to choose from:
Q: Do I need to add a point spread?
A: No, this is an option for you. You can not use a point spread in making picks or you can use a point spread in making picks.
NOTE: If you notice your team won but is showing up red, please make sure you pay attention to if your pool is using point spreads.
Q: Can I customize how many points members get per win?
A: Yes. Go to your commissioner console > pool setting > pick & scoring setting > points per win:
Q: What does "Maximum Points for Combined Score" mean?
A: You can turn this on or off. The maximum number of points awarded for guess the final combined score of each game. If members guess the xact final score, they will receive this number of points. If they are off by 1, they will receive this number -1... off by 2, this number 2 and so on all the way down to 0.
Q: How can I change my entry name that appears in reports/leaderboard section?
A: Entry names can be changed on your entries page within the pool. Click on the appropriate pool membership on your Pool Memberships page. Once in the pool, navigate to the 'Your Picks' tab and click the 'rename' link next to the entry you would like to change.
Q: When are the standing (and other reports) updated?
A: Most updates will occur within minutes of the conclusion of each game, however due to the nature of the internet, we make no guarantee about the exact time an update will take place.
Q: Can I add a members picks after the pick deadline?
A: Yes. To do so, follow these steps:
1. If they did not join yet, click the 'Add a Member' link under Commissioner Console --> Member Management.
2. Click the 'Member Pick Maintenance' link in the Commissioner Console.
3. Follow the instructions on screen.
Q: Can I see my pool standings and results from a previous year?
A: Yes. Go to Reports --> Pool History
