Q: How does the Olympics Pick’em pool work?
Each member is given 350 credits to build a roster of countries.
Countries more likely to win medals cost more credits.
Members can have as few as 3 countries or as many as 10 on their roster.
Points are awarded each time a picked country wins a medal:
3 points for Gold
2 points for Silver
1 point for Bronze
The winning roster is the one with the most points at the end of the Olympics.
Q: Can I edit my pick deadline?
Yes! Go to your commissioner console > pool settings > pick settings > edit pick deadline to update it.
Q: How can I prevent new members from joining my Olympics pool?
You can do this in your commissioner console > pool settings > basic settings > toggle ON “prevent new entries.”
Q: How can I edit my entry name?
Go to the YOUR PICKS tab, click the three dots next to your entry, and select rename entry.
Q: What does the pick sheet look like?
The pick sheet will display all available countries with their credit costs, and dynamically update as you select countries based on your remaining credits.
Q: Why don’t I see Norway as an option?
That means you do not have enough credits left. For example, if Norway costs 13 credits and you only have 12 remaining, it will not be selectable.
Q: Can I change the tie-breaker question?
No, the tie-breaker question is not customizable.
For 2024, the question is:
“What is your prediction for the total number of GOLD medals won by the United States?”
Q: Do I need to enter a tie-breaker to submit my picks?
Yes, you must enter a tie-breaker value or your picks will not be submitted.
Q: Can members see other members’ picks before the pick deadline?
No. Picks and reports become visible only after the pick deadline has passed.
Q: Why is my pool locked?
If your pool is locked, it usually means the hosting fee has not been paid. Once payment is processed, you and your members will regain access to your pool and results.
