Q: How does the NBA Pick'em format work?

A: Unlike the NFL regular season, which is only 16 games, the NBA has more than 5 times as many games per team. So, to keep the fun at Tacko Fall heights for the duration of the season, we widened the pool rules to account for all the basketball action.

Q: How many games per week do my members need to pick?

A: Each pool member picks NBA games each week.

  • Picks can be made against the point spread β€” powered by our partner, BetMGM β€” or straight-up without it.

  • For each correct pick during the regular season, members will receive one point (which is also customizable).

  • Optionally use 'Best Bet' picks or 'Confidence' points.

  • Commissioners can choose how many games to pick in a given week.

    • The standard setting is to pick 5 games each week. However, you can choose from 1 game per week to ALL of them. (Be forewarned, though, that there are roughly 50 NBA games each week so only choose this setting if you are a true diehard playing with other true diehards).

Q: What if we have a tie in our pool?

A: We have an optional tiebreakers: No need to make it complicated, our NBA pick'em tiebreaker is the combined score of the last game on the pick sheet.

Q: When does the pick sheet become available?

A: Your pool's pick sheet will become available at the start of each week, with lines locking for each day at 9 a.m. EST on game day. (If you choose a game later in the week, make sure to check the line again that morning).

Q: When are the standings calculated?

A: Standings are calculated for the week and for the year-to-date.

Q: What is an NBA pick'em pool?

A: In an NBA Pick'Em pool players make weekly picks (either against the point spread or straight-up). The number of picks each week is customizable by the pool commissioner. Optional best-bet and confidence pick settings can be put into place. Commissioners can calculate weekly and year-to-date or use a hosting site like RunYourPool.

Q: How do you win an NBA pick'em pool?

A: In order to win an NBA Pick'Em pool players must have the most points at the end of the season. For each correct pick during the regular season, members will receive one point (customizable based on the pool commissioner). Some pools will choose picks based on the spread or straight up
