Q: How does the FedEx Playoff golf pool work?

  • Picks are made for any/all of the FedExCup Playoff tournaments:

    • The St. Jude Championship

    • The BMW Championship

    • The TOUR Championship

  • Members select six golfers per tournament (by salary or tier).

  • The goal is to build the best-performing roster as a team, tracked by strokes or winnings.

  • Golfers who miss the cut will receive the highest (worst) scores for Rounds 3 and 4 and $0 in winnings.

  • Performance is tracked both individually per tournament and cumulatively across all three tournaments.

Q: What is a tiered pick sheet?

  • Golfers are divided into six tiers based on their World Golf Ranking.

  • Members pick one golfer from each tier.

  • Tiers cannot be edited by the commissioner.

Q: What is a salary cap pick sheet?

  • Each golfer is assigned a salary based on their World Golf Ranking.

  • Members must build a six-player roster within a fixed salary cap.

  • Salary values cannot be edited by the commissioner.

Q: Can I drop worst picks from scoring?
Yes β€” commissioners can choose to exclude the worst-performing golfer(s) from scoring.

Q: Can I add a bonus to the pool?
Yes β€” commissioners can add bonuses (e.g., subtracting strokes) for golfers who finish in top positions.

Q: Can players be re-picked in different tournaments?
Yes β€” you can allow golfers to be picked again in subsequent tournaments or restrict members from picking a golfer more than once.

Q: When is the pick deadline?
All picks must be made before the first scheduled tee time of the tournament.

Q: Can I change the pick deadline?
No, the pick deadline cannot be changed.

Q: Can members make picks after the deadline?
No β€” once the pick deadline passes, picks are locked. Only commissioners can edit or add picks for members after the deadline through:

  1. Commissioner Console > Member Management > Add Member

  2. Commissioner Console > Member Pick Maintenance

Q: How does scoring work for the TOUR Championship?
Golfers begin with bonus strokes based on their FedEx Cup standings:

  • 1st: -10

  • 2nd: -8

  • 3rd: -7

  • 4th: -6

  • 5th: -5

  • 6–10th: -4

  • 11–15th: -3

  • 16–20th: -2

  • 21–25th: -1

  • 26–30th: Even

The TOUR Championship prize pool is about $60 million, 4–8x other events.

Q: When is the leaderboard updated?
The leaderboard updates automatically as rounds complete. By default, leaderboards rank based on total strokes, but you can sort by cumulative winnings or FedEx points.

Q: How does the pool handle a golfer who misses the cut?
They will receive the highest score of Round 3 and Round 4 among players who made the cut.

Q: Does RYP send weekly pick reminders?
Yes β€” members can opt in for weekly reminders on their entries page. Pool commissioners cannot enable this for everyone to prevent spam issues.

Q: Can I see previous years’ standings?
Yes β€” go to Reports > Pool History.
