Q: How does a "Pick X" golf pool work?

A: Each week, pool members pick PGA Tour golfer(s) (number set by the administrator) from the tournament field.

  • Pool commissioners can choose the tournaments they want to include in their pool

  • Golfers can only be picked a specific number of times per season (set by the administrator).

  • Pool members earn the overall winnings their selected golfer earned for that tournament.

  • Standings are calculated for the week and for the year-to-date.

Q: How can I change my entry name that appears in reports?

A: Entry names can be changed on your entries page within the pool. Click on the appropriate pool membership on your Pool Memberships page. Once in the pool, navigate to the 'Your Picks' tab and click the 'rename' link next to the entry you would like to change.

Q: Can we select which tournaments are included in our pool?

A: Yes. Just go to Commissioner Console --> Pool Settings --> Tournament Settings. You can check the specific tournaments you want to active in your pool.

Q: Can we adjust the number of picks required per tournament? (Example: more picks for the majors?

A: Yes. However, it can't be set up for each tournament ahead of time.

If, for example, you want to have 2 picks for the Masters instead of the usual 1 pick per week, you must change the pick setting immediately after the tournament preceding the Masters ends. Then, once the Masters ends, you must change it back.

You can go to Commissioner Console --> Edit Pool Settings --> Pick Settings and change the number under. 'Players Picked Per Week'

Q: Are the standings listed by money earned by Fedex points?

A: The default sort is the winnings earned in the tournament. You can sort it by FedEx points also, but it will default to the money winnings.

Q: Is the pricing per entry/per tournament or does each entry count for all tournaments?

A: The pricing covers each entry for all of the tournaments.

Q: What does MDF mean?

A: MDF means Made Cut Did Not Finish. It usually translates to a person being cut after the 3rd round. In terms of scoring in our system they will be treated as a CUT player for any rounds not played.

Q: How will the scoring for the TOUR Championship work?

A: Golfers will start the TOUR Championship with bonus strokes based on their position in the FedEx Cup Standings. The following bonus strokes will apply: 1st: -10, 2nd: -8, 3rd: -7, 4th: -6, 5th: -5, 6-10th: -4, 11-15th: -3, 16-20th: -2, 21-25th -1, 26-30: Even. In addition, the total prize pool is $60 million, roughly 4-8x times that of other tournaments.

Q: When is the deadline for making picks?

A: All picks must be entered before the first scheduled tee time of the tournament.

Q: Can I add a member's picks for them after the pick deadline?

A: Yes. To do so, follow these steps:

1. If they did not join yet, click the 'Add a Member' link under Commissioner Console --> Member Management.
2. Click the 'Member Pick Maintenance' link in the Commissioner Console.
3. Follow the instructions on screen.

Q: Can I change the pick deadline?

A: No, this is something that cannot be done

Q: Does RYP send weekly pick reminder to participants?

A: Your members can opt-in to weekly reminders sent by the RunYourPool service. The option is available at the top of their entries page.

By default, this option is turned off. We do not allow pool commissioners to turn this on for all participants, as that would increase the likelihood of emails from our email address being marked as spam.

Q: Can I see my pool standings and results from previous years?

A: Yes. Go to Reports --> Pool History
