Q: How does a PGA Pick X pool work?
A: Each week, pool members pick one or more PGA Tour golfers (the number is set by the commissioner) from that week’s tournament field.

  • Commissioners can select which tournaments are included in their pool.

  • Golfers can only be picked a specific number of times per season (also set by the commissioner).

  • Members earn the total winnings their chosen golfer earns for that tournament.

  • Standings are tracked weekly and year-to-date.

Q: Can I change my entry name that appears in reports?
A: Yes! Go to your entries page within the pool, click on your pool membership, navigate to the Your Picks tab, and click the rename link next to the entry you’d like to change.

Q: Can we select which tournaments are included in our pool?
A: Yes. Go to Commissioner Console > Pool Settings > Tournament Settings and check the tournaments you’d like to include.

Q: Can I adjust the number of picks required per tournament (for example, more picks for the majors)?
A: Yes, but you cannot schedule these changes in advance. For example, if you want to allow two picks for the Masters instead of one, you’ll need to change the pick settings after the prior tournament ends, then change it back after the Masters concludes. Go to Commissioner Console > Edit Pool Settings > Pick Settings > Players Picked Per Week to adjust.

Q: Are standings based on money earned or FedEx points?
A: By default, standings are sorted by tournament winnings, but you can also sort by FedEx Cup points if you prefer.

Q: Is pricing per entry per tournament, or does each entry cover all tournaments?
A: The pricing covers each entry for all tournaments within your pool.

Q: What does MDF mean?
A: MDF means Made Cut Did Not Finish, usually meaning a golfer was cut after the third round. For scoring purposes, they are treated as CUT players for any rounds they do not play.

Q: How does scoring work for the TOUR Championship?
A: Golfers start the TOUR Championship with bonus strokes based on their FedEx Cup standings:

  • 1st: -10

  • 2nd: -8

  • 3rd: -7

  • 4th: -6

  • 5th: -5

  • 6th–10th: -4

  • 11th–15th: -3

  • 16th–20th: -2

  • 21st–25th: -1

  • 26th–30th: Even

Additionally, the prize pool is roughly 4–8x the size of other tournaments.

Q: When is the pick deadline?
A: Picks must be made before the first scheduled tee time of the tournament.

Q: Can I add a member’s picks for them after the pick deadline?
A: Yes. Here’s how:

  1. If they have not joined yet, go to Commissioner Console > Member Management > Add a Member.

  2. Then go to Commissioner Console > Member Pick Maintenance to enter their picks.

Q: Can I change the pick deadline?
A: No, the pick deadline cannot be changed once it’s set.

Q: Does RYP send weekly pick reminders to participants?
A: Members can opt-in to receive weekly pick reminders from RunYourPool at the top of their entries page. Commissioners cannot enable this on behalf of participants due to spam-prevention policies.

Q: Can I view my pool’s standings and results from previous years?
A: Yes! Go to Reports > Pool History to view your past data.
