Answer:

Here’s a quick breakdown of the NFL 33 pool format on RunYourPool:

What is NFL 33?
Each member is assigned one unique NFL team (max 32 members since there are 32 NFL teams). If their team scores exactly 33 points in a game, they win. There are typically 4–7 games per season where a team hits 33 points.

It’s perfect for casual players who want simple excitement without weekly pick deadlines.

Why only 32 members?
Each team in the NFL is assigned once, so there can only be 32 members max.

What options do I have?

  • Randomly assign NFL teams weekly (everyone gets a bye once) or keep teams fixed all season

  • Choose whether the target score is exactly 33, or the closest to 33

  • Change the target score from 33 to any other number

How are winners declared?

  • Traditional: Must hit exactly 33, or rolls over until someone does

  • Closest to 33: A guaranteed winner every week

  • Seasonal winner: The member with the smallest average difference from the target over the season wins

Other helpful answers:

  • Change entry name: Go to Your Picks in the pool, click the 3-dot menu, and rename it

  • Add extra entries: Go to Commissioner Console > NFL Team Assignments > “Add another entry”

  • Report updates: Usually updated within minutes after games end
