Q: How do you play NHL Survivor?
A: Members pick one NHL team each week from the Saturday slate of games.

  • If their pick is correct, they survive and advance.

  • An incorrect pick eliminates the member from the pool.

  • The goal is to be the last member standing at the end of the season.

Q: Do I only get the option to pick winners?
A: No. The commissioner can change the pool to a Loser Pool instead (where members pick losing teams) by going to the commissioner console > pool settings > pick and scoring settings > pick objective.

Q: How many entries can a member have?
A: That is up to the commissioner — you can allow multiple entries per member or limit them to a single entry.

Q: Can I start this pool at any time?
A: Yes, you can choose which week to start your pool.

Q: Can I set up auto-picks if a member forgets?
A: Yes. Go to your commissioner console > pool settings > pick and scoring settings > automatic picks.

Q: If a member is eliminated, can I revive their entry with a mulligan?
A: Yes. There are options for both automatic or manual mulligans:

  • Automatic mulligans: Set in your commissioner console > pool settings > mulligan settings.

  • Manual mulligans: Go to your commissioner console > issue mulligan to a member by checking the box in the Issue Mulligan column, then click Save Mulligans to confirm.

Q: Why is my pool locked?
A: Your pool is locked if you have not paid the hosting fee by the payment deadline. Once payment is received, your pool will be unlocked for you and your members.

Q: How can I change my entry name in the reports?
A: Go to your entries page within the pool, click on the correct pool membership, navigate to the Your Picks tab, and click the rename link next to the entry you want to edit.

Q: When are standings and reports updated?
A: Updates typically occur within minutes after each game concludes, though exact times are not guaranteed due to the nature of the internet.

Q: Can I add a member’s picks after the pick deadline?
A: Yes, as a commissioner, you can:

  1. Go to Commissioner Console > Member Management > Add a Member if they have not joined yet.

  2. Then click Member Pick Maintenance to enter their picks manually.
