Q: Do you offer a Women’s World Cup pool, and what’s the difference between the two?
A: Yes, we offer the Women’s World Cup as its own pool option! The main difference is that fewer countries participate in the Women’s World Cup (24 teams) compared to the Men’s (32 teams).

Q: What’s the difference between the Group Stage and Knockout Stage?
A:

  • Group Stage — Teams are divided into groups of four. Each team plays the other three in a round robin. The top two teams in each group advance to the Knockout Stage. For the Women’s World Cup, the four best third-place teams also advance.

  • Knockout Stage — The remaining 16 teams play in a single-elimination bracket, similar to the NCAA Basketball Sweet 16.

Q: How does the Group Stage work?
A: Members predict the finishing positions of each team within their group. Points are awarded for correct rankings. For example, if one point is awarded per correct ranking, a member can earn up to 32 points in the group stage (4 correct rankings in each of 8 groups).

Q: How does the Knockout Stage work?
A: After the group stage is complete, members will pick the ACTUAL teams qualifying for the Knockout bracket. Members are awarded points for correct picks in all 15 games of the bracket.

Q: Can I change the points per round?
A: Yes — go to your Commissioner Console > Pool Settings > Scoring Settings.

Q: How is the winner determined?
A: The member with the most points at the end of the tournament wins.

Q: How do I invite members to join my pool?
A: Go to your Commissioner Console > Invite Instructions > New Members. Copy and send the provided link — it works for both new and returning members.

Q: How can I change my entry name shown in reports?
A: Go to your entries page within the pool, click on your pool membership, then navigate to the Your Picks tab and click the rename link next to your entry.

Q: How does group stage scoring work?
A: Pool commissioners assign points per correct ranking in each group. Members earn the specified points for each correct team ranking.

Q: Why can’t members pick Knockout Stage teams before the group stage ends?
A: Knockout Stage picks are based on the ACTUAL teams that advance. Since these teams are not known until group play finishes, members must wait to fill out the Knockout bracket.

Q: Can I prevent members from submitting multiple entries?
A: Yes — go to your Commissioner Console > Pool Settings, and uncheck the box next to Members allowed to submit more than one entry per email address.

Q: Can I see standings and results from previous years?
A: Yes — go to Reports > Pool History.
