Question: How does manually creating X & Y axis work?
Answer: If you go into your grid settings > axis numbers on the grid are > custom assigned > the order you enter your numbers will show exactly on the grid.
If you want to enter the numbers, it will not be randomized. If you select "randomly assigned" then the X & Y axis will have randomized numbers when you generate your grid or when you lock your grid.
