Q: What is a 13-Run Baseball Pool?

  • Up to 30 members can join

  • Each member is assigned an MLB team (either randomly or manually by the commissioner)

  • Every time the team plays, its runs are tracked

  • The goal is to be the first to have your team score every number from 0 to 13 runs

  • The site updates the leaderboard in real-time — no manual tracking required

Q: How are the runs tracked?

  • The leaderboard uses a grid showing which numbers your team has “closed” (scored)

  • Green cells show a completed score, and the number inside shows how many times that run total has been scored

  • Once a member closes all 14 numbers, the leaderboard notes their finish date and ranks them

  • Pools can be restarted anytime after the first member finishes (requires paying the pool fee again), with the option to keep or change team assignments

Q: How are teams assigned?

  • Teams can be assigned automatically (randomly by the system)

  • Or assigned manually (for example, through an offline draft)
Note: Commissioners can wait until members have joined before assigning teams.

Q: What is the cost to run a 13-Run MLB pool?

  • The cost is $24.95 per pool

  • This includes retaining your pool information and members year-to-year, so you can easily reset next season

Q: Can I have more than 30 members?
No. The maximum is 30, because there are only 30 MLB teams available.

Q: What if a member drops out mid-season?

  • You can replace them by adding a new email to fill the spot

  • If teams have already been assigned, go to Commissioner Console → MLB Team Assignments → find the member → manually assign an available team

Q: Can members have multiple teams if there are fewer than 30 participants?
Yes! For example, with 15 members, each can have 2 teams:
✅ Each member creates another entry under Your Entries → Create Another Entry
✅ Or the commissioner doing it via Commissioner Console → Member Pick Maintenance → Select Member → Create Another Entry
Then assign teams manually or randomly as needed.

Q: I started my league after the MLB season began. Why are some games missing?
Make sure your Scoring Start Date is set correctly to include all games. Check this under:
Commissioner Console → Pool Settings → Scoring & Date Settings

Q: Can I change the scoring format?
Yes! You can change it from the 13-run format to other available scoring options in the dropdown under your pool settings.

Q: What if two teams complete 13 runs on back-to-back nights?
It’s up to the commissioner to decide a tie-breaker. A common approach is to award the win to the team that achieved 13 runs in fewer games.
