Yes, you can assign squares to a guest. You just need to click on the grid you are looking to add names to and choose the square. From there choose option #2 "assign to a guest".

For these guests, you can share a read-only link of the squares. This can be found by clicking on the i with a circle (by the printer) and selecting "public read-only version of the grid".
