Q: Why would I choose a custom bracket format?
A: If we do not have something in our pool formats, this is for you. You can create a bracket of 16 or 64 for any team, sport and anything in between.
You choose a bracket format (currently 8, 16 or 64) and then enter your own selections (i.e. teams). Members will submit their picks by filling out a standard bracket. After the pick deadline that you set passes, you can advance the winning teams.
Q: What are the Custom Bracket pool rules?
A: This format works just like March's popular College Basketball Bracket format that people are familiar with:
Members pick from a standard bracket of 16 or 64 teams.
Points are awarded for each winning pick.
Points values increase as the tournament progresses (points per round are configurable by the Pool Commissioner).
The winning members is the one with the most points.
Q: As a commissioner, how do I setup a custom bracket?
A: Once you create your pool and choose your bracket type (16 or 64), you will go into your commissioner console > populate bracket:

You will click the pencil icon, to edit the Regions. You will enter the teams into each section and submit matchup.
Q: What does the custom bracket look like when its filled out?
A: Here is an example bracket from above image:
Q: I accidentally clicked on a team to advance, but I need to remove that team, how do I do that?
A: You do not have the ability to clear that field, but you can click on the other team to update your bracket.
Q: Can members view other members brackets before the pick deadline?
A: Standings will be available once the first result has been posted. In the meantime, members can view the participating entries and if they have their picks in.
Q: How do I score or enter results?
A: You will go to your commissioner console > enter results:
Q: Does RYP automatically update this custom bracket for my pool?
A: No, since this is custom, RYP does not do any time of automatic updates.
Q: As a commissioner, how do I enter results of my custom bracket pool?
A: Once you are into your commissioner console > enter results > click a cell below to declare that selection a winner and advance them to the next round.
Don't forget to click the Save button at the bottom. If you'd like to edit the scores for matchups where you previously declared a winner, you can do so here.
