Hi there!

Thanks for reaching us here. Hopefully this FAQ article to help answer your questions!

Q: What is 13-Run Baseball?

A: - Maximum of 30 members can join your pool

- Each member is assigned a pro team by (randomly assign option or the commissioner manually assigns team).

- Each time your team plays, the number of runs they scored will be tracked

- The goal is to be the first member to have their team score every number, from 0 to 13 runs

- The site updates the pool leaderboard in real-time as games end. No more recompiling standings manually and figuring out how to distribute them.

Q: How are the runs scored?

A: The following is a sample leaderboard grid for a small 13-Run Baseball pool. Green cells indicate a member's team has closed that number of runs. The numbers in each cell indicate how many times the team scored the indicated number of runs. When a member closes all 14 numbers, the leaderboard will indicate the date on which he or she finished and the leaderboard will be sorted accordingly. That way, you can continue the pool until a certain number of people have finished. Also, your pool can be reset anytime after the first member completes their grid, so you can restart your pool again in the same season. When resetting your pool, administrators can keep the existing pro team assignments or change them as they like. (Note: Pool resets require a re-payment of the pool fee.)

Q: How can the teams be assigned?

A: It can be done automatically (This option will randomly assign a pro team to each active pool member) or can be manually (Use this option if you determine team assignments in some other way, such as an offline draft).

**Please note: Pool commissioners can wait until after members have joined to make that determination**

Q: What is the cost to run a 13-Run MLB pool?

A: The cost to run this format is $24.95 - Included in the cost is the added benefit that we retain your pool information and members from year-to-year. Simply reset your pool next year and have your members log back in to pick again.

Q: Can I have more than 30 members in my league?

A: Unfortunately not, there is a limit of 30 members only

Q: If a member in my pools drops out, and another member want to join. Also, what do I do about the assigned team that original had?

A: If your member drops out, you can add another email to fill that spot. If the teams have already been assigned to everyone else, you will need to go to your commissioner console > MLB Team Assignments > Find member on the list > manually add the un-picked team to that member:

Q: If I only have 15 members join, can everyone have 2 teams assigned to them?

A: Yes, but, each member will need to select "create another entry" or you the commissioner can do that as well by going to > commissioner console > member pick maintenance > select member > create another entry. Once thats done, you can manually assign teams or randomly assign teams to everyone:

Q: I started the 13-run league a few days after the season started, why am I missing games?

A: If you want to make sure you have all games in your pool, you need to make sure you have the correct "Scoring being calculated on" when the 1st game of the season is played to have every game in your pool. This can be found on your commissioner console > pool settings > scoring & date settings:

Q: Can I change the scoring format?

A: Yes, you can change the scoring format from 13-runs to any of the options in the drop down:

Q: What happens if two members teams hit 13 on back to back nights. How does I determine if its a tie or not?

A: It is up to commissioner on how to decide the winner. But, in most cases whoever made it to 13-Runs in fewer games would be a good way to break the tie.
